State of the Game
Today’s State of the Game was hosted by Hamish and Senior Game Designer Fredrik. The main topic was the coming weapon balancing changes.
1.3 Patch delayed on PS4
PS4 1.3 Patch will not be ready on Tuesday – but it will be pushed out as fast as possible
Weapon Balancing
They wanted to buff weapons that had no additional Perks
LMGs
LMG – Damage to Target out of cover
It is about 20%, but it is rolled by RNG
You are in cover when you are connected to a cover, even when you pop out to shoot
Shotguns
As of now, it was not possible to stagger elite enemies in Incursions; this is why Shotguns got a huge stagger increase
Shotguns – you can now stagger all PVE enemies
In PvP there is a 30% Damage increase to Players but no stagger effect
They are still looking into a player stagger mechanic for PvP but they have not found the right mechanics yet, so that is the reason why it is not in the game
Assault Rifles
Get armor penetration bonus – just for PvE enemies (not PvP)
Bonus is around 20%, but it is also rolled, so could be more or less
SMG
Gets a Critical Hit Damage bonus (changed from Critical Hit Chance – since that is now hard capped)
Vector / Aug will do 10% less damage – even the existing ones
Marksmen Rifles
M1A will get less accuracy when you spam shots
Weapon Balance Changes
These listed changes only apply to guns that drop after the patch.
Guns that you already have, will stay the same.
(exception is damage nerf of Vector and Aug)
Gameplay meta
They are aware of the “Tanktitian” meta – and they keep an eye on it
Gear Sets - Sentry’s Call / Striker’s Battlegear
4 Piece Bonus will be moved partially to a 5 piece Bonus
Special Ammo nerf
Got a damage nerf 75%
Burning effect lasts 30% of what it used to
Explosive ammo scales now 1:1 and will just do the same damage as the original bullet.
New Guns
Dessert Tech MDR will not be in the 1.3 patch (not ready)
New Weapons and dedicated weapon Talents
Showstopper full automatic Shotgun New Talent Showstopper that will make the gun more accurate depending on how much ammo you have left.
G36 – Assault Rifle New Talent called “Focused” that gives you a damage buff when no skills are on cooldown
SWD - Marksmen Rifle Decisive – when you kill a target, the next shot will be a guaranteed critical
PP19 –SMG New Talent Hurried – the more critical hits you have, the faster your reload will be
These weapons will always drop with this talent.
Recalibration
You are now able to recalibrate Weapon Talents
You need Weapon Kits for that, which can be looted.
The biggest question people seem to be asking is "What was the change to sentry and strikers?" "Explain the nerf." So this hopefully helps:
The overall power of the set is not changing but you need to wear 5 pieces to get the same effect as you do from wearing 4 pieces now.
As it was worded the 4 pc bonus "sentry's mark" as an example, is not unlocked by wearing 5 pieces and remains the 4 piece bonus.
The bonuses for wearing 2 and 3 pieces are being reduced and some of that bonus is shifted to the bonus for wearing 5 pieces. This is a nerf for those that only use 2/3 pieces of sentry or 2/3 pieces of striker gear.
