    [Sammelthread] AMD K7 - Sockel A (462)

https://turbolink.tech/k7a-support/?v=796834e7a283 I assume you've made progress making it work? Any details?

    [Sammelthread] Netburst Evolution - Pentium IV/M 478/479 & Xeon 603/604 Stammtisch

Nothing interesting, regular Celeron D. Not an ES. Not fake but yes, Chinese. It has a sticker from a Chinese shop. One person said that some Chinese retailers mark their CPUs but the reason is unknown. Maybe it is such a case but I've never seen it on s478.

Has anyone seen something like this on 478? Both batch and serial erased and very strange marking inscribed.

2*512MB 2-2-2-5? Very nice. Yes, but the only board that has tRFC description is Abit and I think Memset took it from there. For example in i845 chipsets tRFC goes from 5-11. So maybe in fact 5 is 11 and 1 is 7 for example. Don't look at actual value, think about the bits. We'll probably never...

    [Sammelthread] Netburst Evolution - Pentium IV/M 478/479 & Xeon 603/604 Stammtisch

It's a pretty regular G1. I have a bit more than 10 of them, all POST around 300, the very bad ones make 282-293. But they're nice since they are cool and clock good. Although, on TCCD I am limited by them. Maybe need to put them on water. In theory - yes. But as you understand if we make just...

I've confirmed BL on Asus boards (read P.P.S. in my previous post). Also I've played with Winbonds. As we know, normal Winbond chips work at 250MHz with moderate volts like 3.4V. But most sticks didn't work on 865/875. Long story short - you need tRFC=5. Asus boards set tRFC4 when CAS=2.0 and...

Have you compared registers in both cases? And maybe there's strap resistors near the Nforce?

That's what I wanted to suggest but for Gigabyte AMD751 board. You could find a Slot 1 Gigabyte 751 and flash it with sA Gigabyte 751 BIOS and check if the adapter behaviour makes any difference. Are you sure about this? I know that some VIA chipsets had ROMSIPs altered by BIOS update...

    [Sammelthread] Der DDR1 Ram-Chip Thread

Some 512MB sticks don't clock well unless 2T. Other sticks work fine with 1T.

I believe it's the one I did. As for the graphics, what driver version are you using? Try a newer one, there was an update in NV drivers for chipset compatibility.

O.K. I've figured out the Burst length. MCHBar Register 60 bit 4 Burst length 0 - 4 1 - 8 As you know from the definition of BL, for dual channel it's always 4 clocks but for single channel it can be 4 or 8 clocks. On my setup i865PE, P4 3.0E, 1*512MB BH-5 2-2-2-5 it's...

I can't say about BL right know - my Asus board shows all registers the same for 4 and 8 clocks BL. Maybe it doesn't work or something else. I was referring only to Bus parking. Gigabyte is the only board that has Bus parking and Dynamic page mode, that's why I played with it today.

Played with uncommon settings on Gigabyte IPE1000 rev. 1.0 F12 BIOS. Bus parking (PSB parking) - I believe that your description on page 3 is a bit incorrect. Bus parking is not Burst length, these are different things. And the enabled/disabled states are the other way around. I think Gigabyte...

Played with TCCD. My new strap seems very promising, I understand why Intel had hidden it :-) PAT, tRD4, tREF 64us, primary and secondary timings maxed so I'm not RAM limited. I'll check my other boards and then switch to Winbonds.

Another interesting info about them: https://tweakers.net/nieuws/11711/slot-a-slotket-adapter.html So it might be the same issue as with KT133. So it's better to try with 751 and with TB CPUs. https://tweakers.net/nieuws/10673/socket-a-mobos-eind-mei-converters-wel-mogelijk.html...

@auto660 so you want to replicate this adapter as I understand? One thing to remind is that KT133 boards don't support A-XP so maybe this difference is what is preventing you from booting. Another thing is that Thunderbird CPUs were late and not all boards and BIOS versions might support them...

Could you boot at 200+ FSB with 4:5 strap 133? I remember that could boot only 100-132 with strap100, 133-199 with strap 133 and 200+ at strap 200. Or did you boot at 199 and overclocked to 240 from Windows?

What CPU/memory have you used? Do you have a list of BIOS settings for those tests?

P4T-E works fine with FSB133 (533) unoficially. It can work overclocked even higher.
