I made progress on the top 100 world timespy graphica Hof (1xgpu)..from 82th to 69th 😁
still third on xtx over all list though..🫤
added a new fan to the deshroud.. will update post with graphs and pic of changed setup...
very strong for air setup tho im sure as you can see
coming stuff:
saw some mgpu action with my xtx and xt..super promising, since I do a lot of ai work. gravity mark @4k directx12 in raster I was out pacing the 2x4090s on their leaderboards and in ai workloads gained 40% improved speed opencl and ai workloads. unfortunately I cannot show you any benchmarks because my xt has tiny capacitors missing by the pcie teeth , so I'm guessing the it's the physical lanes that are there....and it causes black screens mid runz.. I'm currently on a list for some delicate air soldering that is beyond my skill level but I'll have to wait to have the work done. I got a real open bench coming as well..:

Sichere Seite Biosflasher Ch341a/1,8V .

got cold again.
xfx 7900xtx black ed.
It has deshroud with arctic fans, ptm 7980 in core and siren pro putty on men. temps around 85c max. ~700w-820w est with kil o watt at plug.. recently flashed aqua extreme bios, found renewed memory frequency headroom as compared to the xfx bios. it's also worth noting that on just the 550w bios I was able to hit 7800 pts on nomad high res ...with max temp of 70c and hit 40k GPU on time spy. pretty impressive raster for a stock bios and power level. it runs actual games flawless and can utilize ~700w before I start seeing temps I don't like. Water would be much better in this realm.
But still impressive for air
Note for those who are flashing for chance at better mem speeds, I am in no way saying you will get what I got for results but only giving you the experience I had. But I know some users here would want to hear and possibly give it a shot. I was able to flash one bios successfully without the programmer using the method talked about on overclock.net with the dummy cfg file and I was also successful with the cheap programmer from amazon on the other bios chip:
Steel nomad dx12 heavy, vulkan heavy and dx12 lite:
Moin.

hello, just doing some battle with mr. nvidiafan on steel nomad, Nearing the 9000 pts I got months ago that systeminfo and formerly excellent now garbage useless UL support robbed me of last time it was cold. But Winter Approaches. And It feels very good with these better memory frequencies I can hit! Though Im not sure how long Ill be able to rumble with nvidiafan his cpu and motherboard cost more than my entire desktop...including my monitor. lol...
Anyways. this was at ~800-900watt at the card....mem fast timings, big under volt. Max core temp mid 80's C. Memory junction temp ~68c very impressed with siren putty uh8 pro. took solid 10c off my junction temps. and I only Did inbetween and ontop of the memory chips on the front, left the thick under backplate stock putty.
Was pulling in 12c air from the outside world to the card, indoor ambient was 22c
It is my humble opinion 24.10.1 is BY FAR the best driver amd has produced on rdna 3. Im beating down 4080s in ray tracing and AI benches....and not by a little either... and I mean 4080s with power mods, not stock. and mild OC 4090s in rast... Now that drivers are solid, the 749$ usd I payed feels like an excellent investment, not quite fine wine drivers....,But they are MUCH better. But I'd be mad right now had I gone and bought the 4080 for 1100$ i was going to with 16gb mem as just doom eternals at 8k widescreen was using 17gb vmem (not saying 4080s are slow AT ALL btw)
Oh and Im working on a video I just need to find a place to post it, with the cooler air I was able to maintain 80-100fps in 8k (widescreen so 7680x3420) with ray tracing on and everything maxed in one of the best optimized games i've seen since AI started being used to port garbage console games to even worse PC ports... But I wouldn't expect anything less from the genius that is/was John Carmack and ID software, soon as I find a place to host a 7680x3420 @ 60fps video at full quality because its ACTUALLY very sharp to see in 8k. (I was inspired by a 4090 system at a tech show I saw running 8k and thinking damn thats gorgeous) and wondered since the Raytracing is optimized and not super heavy and unoptimized like cyberpunk trash...Could the 7900 xtx do it? Answer. yes. and averaging 80-100fps no less. And with no EVC, just aqua 552w extreme bios. I think this speaks volumes about vulkan and quality optimization.. garbage AI ports like silent hill 2 and wukong garbage and a few others, im sure even the 4090 kings know what im talking about are legit abominations and a slap to customers faces, and honestly truly imho need to stop, but they wont stop.....just more fake frames and shitty ports incoming, BTW this was native, no DLSS2FSR or frame gen straight old school power.
As I said Ill find somwhere to host it soon, its just massive as a file...and youtube compression would take away too much from it I feel like.. any suggestions?
Hello friends,
I come showing what is possible with a truly tuned system, on air, custom 24h2 windows both with EVC and without EVC.. I think i can say i've changed what people thought was possible with a stock bios and XTX. These were with 550w asrock bios and all but the 40k were on 800-1000w at the card. System is 13700kf with arctic 280mm aio (new thick version), 6200ddr mdie v1 @ 6800mt/s 32gb, xfx 7900xtx black with deshroud and 4x high rpm arctic fans, ptm on core uh8 pro on memory, 550w extreme bios, z690 tomahawk board, 1000w atx 3.0 TT toughpower gf3 psu, corsair 4000d case
You can tell the EVC is not on by looking at total board power in hwinfo, which correctly displays stock bios power levels of the 550w extreme bios. When on the EVC it shows low for total board power, usuall for me ~250w TBP on hwinfo.
anyways, 40 k achievment unlocked...cold air intake was about 5c or ~40 f, air temp inside was 70f or 21c. Deshroud on air, stock heatsink:
And well it got cold, so I went on the attack and did well, was able to acheive #1s in steelnomad heavy dx12, and steel lite same API and a long standing speedway record....sorry about the speedway @Butanding1987 but it literally happened on pull #2 or #4? I forget
Strong Nomad score broke 9k as I said I would again, since UL support robbed me of it last may:
strong as well:
and oh I did a voltage curve when on 550w extreme bios, steeling @RedF s idea using heaven and pausing the bench, I also stole your graph graphics red, lol...But I think if you know what you're looking at voltage curves can be quite helpful to find that sweet spot.
it was literally plug and play, but the XT has issues im waiting to be fixed with a guy with an air solder machine, there is only like 3 ppl in the country who will take this type of work and get good results, so there is a massive waiting line. But yes actually plug in play in windows 11 and went right into gravitymark and ran 4k dx12 with typical settings temporal aa on and rast, and when compared to a person who has 2x4090s It was outpacing the 4090s with the XT massively underclock in attempt to try to get it to pass one bench, but always ended up black screening. I spoke to the owner and designer of gravity mark and show him the fps I was getting and he confirmed albeit only 30 seconds of bench time the xtx/xt combo was indeed, in non RT bench outpacing the 4090s...Dont know why, but it happened. So im waiting for the xt to get fixed and get shipped back and Ill put it on the bench again and we'll find out, just wish mgpu had more support in the gaming field...But it will help in AI and openCL workloads and stuff like that to a great extent imo.
