Dear Photographer,
I work for the American Printing House for the Blind, a not for profit company. Our mission is to make educational materials for students with visual impairments. We are in the process of developing a special atlas for our students. Typical atlases have print that is far too small and photos that do not have enough contrast. We are working to provide atlas materials that meet the needs of our students. When I saw your photos of The Vienna Opera House. I felt it was of high enough contrast for our students to view and understand. Your photo would provide a lot of educational value for our students. We expect to make approximately 1000 copies a year for five to ten years.

We have recently experienced a shortfall in our funding, as have many not for profit agencies in the U.S. Some photographers have been happy to donate a photo or two, and we're hoping you might as well. If not, perhaps we could arrange a small payment. I know that this does not really compensate you for the work and quality of the photo, but it's the best we can do. We will, of course give you full attribution for the photo where it appears in the atlas. We do need a high resolution image file to work with. (at least 300 dpi) Our server can only accept files 2.5 MB or less.
If this is a problem, send file to *****@yahoo.com.
Retrieving from this web address has helped with our server issues.
We look forward to hearing back from you, whatever you decide.
Please also send an email address or mailing address so that we may contact you with the finished pages for your portfolio.
Thank you,
