I.don't know what these add - microcode or romsip, but maybe worth checking.
There are other interesting things in other bioses - like some mentions about 8x 8.5x multi fixes for FSB over 200MHz, tables above 200MHz updates. Etc.

In my opinion there are two ways to fix a multi. The first is to correct the timing at the end of a multi-string (as Tzk has already written), the second is to choose a different register in the first part of the romsips. It seems, that some register in the first part of the romsips does not fit to some multi-strings (most multi 8,9,10).
