Hallo zusammen !
Hier die Statements und Infos unseres HQ´s in Taiwan.
Twinmos DDR 466 MHz Memory Module Q & A
How we test and built DDR 466 Module
Well-tested DDR466 Memory devices compose TwinMOS DDR466 MHz (PC3700) DIMMs.
These DDR466 Memory devices can correctly run Double data Rate at 466Mhz, and are tested by Advantest T5585 test machine. This Advantest T5585 test machine is the most superior testing machine for DDR memory devices testing, and can reach to 250Mhz clock rate (500Mhz Double data Rate).
From the top marking of these devices, TwinMOS has shown the device operation speed.
43B or 43D: (difference by 0.15u or 0.13u chip process)
4.3ns (233Mhz) clock rate, and means 466Mhz Double Data Rate. CL=2.5
At TwinMOS’s production line and before shipping to customer, all these PC3700 DIMMs are
100 % tested by GA-8SQ800Ultra (GIGAbyte Motherboard) with Intel P4 2.53G (FSB533) to prove them to be real PC3700 DIMMs.
Basic Knowledge of Motherboard:
(1) Not every DDR 400 M/B support DDR466, some M/B can’t recognize DDR466 memory, many problems happened.
(2) How to check if M/B can support DDR466?
1. It can do memory clock settings to DDR 466 (233 MHz) in BIOS setup menu.
2. Memory frequency can be shown when startup. ( DDR 333,DDR400 or DDR466,etc….)
(3) Higher FSB needed. (the FSB of AMD CPU is 333MHz, Intel CPU can support 800 MHz )
(4) In BIOS setup menu, we must raise DRAM Voltage to make it more stable.(2.7 V recommended ,2.8V will be more stable )
(5) Raise CPU Voltage if you overclock it to reach DDR 466 ( See settings hereinbelow)
Following Motherboard are already approved with better performance with appropriate setting :
These M/B we tested can support DDR466, for your reference.

GIGABYTE GA-8SQ800 Ultra: SIS 655 chipset, Intel P4 FSB533 CPU
In BIOS setup menu:
Frequency / Voltage Control -> Linear Frequency Control [Enabled]
CPU Clock (MHz) [140]
DRAM Clock (MHz) [466]
DRAM Voltage Control [+0.1V]
CPU Voltage Control [1.675V]
The bench mark score with SIS SANDRA IS 3820 MB/S
What Twinmos Suggested
1. To reach average or even better performance, we suggest only 1 module (256MB/512MB) on motherboard since most of the motherboard design is not for such high speed overcooking purpose.
2. Please get the most suitable motherboard we recommended AS ABOVE LIST with Twinmos DDR 466MHz , contact your motherboard supplier to reconfirm if their product is designed with such a high speed over clocking function.
3. If any have any problem please contact with support1 @twinmos.com
