ETQW does not have an option to make the MCP "Wolf-like" i.e. drive itself as long as there's a GDF player nearby. However it's not as bad as it sounds - the attacking GDF team aren't quite "down a man" when driving the MCP. For one thing, the Driver has a weapon (a front-mounted MG, not the Gatling on the roof) so he's not completely defenceless or removed from play. Particularly when someone's manning the rooftop Gatling, Strogg players seem to forget about the front MG, and I've picked up some highly satisfying kills - particularly Constructors about to deploy an AVT : )
Also, it should be noted that you can kill players by driving over them with the MCP. In fact, just last night, the MCP ran over and killed three players. Admittedly, they were GDF, surprised that the MCP suddenly started backing up, but err...umm....I'm sure I had a point here...Well, I guess it's that ANY class can drive the MCP, and you can swap out very easily. I'm sure clans will develop drills for rotating the Drivership depending on what else needs to happen in the map.
I've experienced many emotions driving the MCP, but boredom has not yet been one of them. Oh, and right now we've got the MCP Off-Course warnings playing after 10 and 20 seconds, with the MCP auto-destructing at 30 seconds. This seems to be about right, but we may tinker with it some more.
